Kumaon region comprises of six districts of the state uttrakhand: Almora,Bageshwar,Champawat,Nainitaal,Pithoragarh,U.S.nagar.
In the past Kumaon region has been ruled by several hindu dynasties.
Starting right away from section Tummy !!
Their are endless delicacies Kumaon has to offer . The food here is incomplete without daal, chutney and a sweet dish.
A wide range of pulses is used to create mouth watering recipies like dubke , jholi which are usually enjoyed with rice.
Some of the most popular delicacies names are as follows :
Aloo ke gutke, Bhatt ki churkani , Bhang chutney , sana hua neembu , pahadi kheere ka raita, baal mithai , single and pua's.
Single are fried semolina spiral which are routined part of every Kumaoni celebration .
The next aspect I am introducing is Kumaoni language.
Hindi , Kumaoni,Garhwali,Bhotiya and Jaunsaari languages are commonly spoken in the region.
Kumaoun also has a very rich tradition of folk literature which deals with local and national myths , hero,heroines, deeds of bravery and various aspects of nature.
We have a full fledged local version of bollywood here . All things about culture , lifestyle , even food is treanding on youtube these days.
A pahadi version of parua and paruli also got viral amongst pahadi crowd.
A fun fact : usually every pahadi family is supposed to have one army connection.
Here , the craze of taking up army as a profession is beyond reality.
So , we have a very specialised category of audiences who are in connection with army.

Finally discussing about decorative art for home.Usually use to decorate temple inside home and the " deli".
Deli is the space near the door.
It is made in the combination of red and white colors.
In old times people use to make aipan using the mud called gerua and paste of raw rice.
But nowadays the modern aipan are made with paint color.
And a very easily accessible printed version to purchase is available in market.
