This monument is architecture of Islamic. This `Gol Gumbaz' looks like as a big bloomimg flower on the floor.
The seventh Muslim king Bijapur Adil Shah was built the Gol Gumbaz monument in the year between BC 1626 to BC 1656. It means in Kannada langue `Gola Gummata'. It is a great dome of the circle shape. Made of grey basalt. The tomb height is 51 Meters. The measure of diameter 124 Feet. Dome Stands on Pendanttive principle. Sculpture decorated richly. Yakub architect designed the dome. He was belonged to Dhabul. This is the shape of lotus flower.
It is the second largest dome in the world. Next one is Saint Peter's. It is first place in the world. It is in Rome.
A Mosque and guest houses are in the monument area.
At a time 2250 people can pray in the Mosque.
