The Mansion
Aung Ko was a young journalist who wanted to investigate the mysterious disappearances of several tourists in Pyin Oo Lwin, a scenic hill town in Myanmar. He had heard rumors of a haunted mansion in the outskirts of the town, where some of the missing people were last seen. He decided to go there alone, hoping to find some clues and expose the truth.
He arrived in Pyin Oo Lwin by train, and took a horse-drawn carriage to the mansion. It was a gloomy and dilapidated building, surrounded by overgrown vegetation and a high iron fence. He climbed over the fence and approached the main entrance, which was unlocked. He pushed the door open and entered the dark hallway.
He felt a chill in the air, and heard a faint creaking sound from above. He took out his flashlight and looked around. The mansion was filled with dusty furniture, cobwebs, and broken windows. He saw a staircase leading to the upper floor, and decided to check it out.
He walked up the stairs, and noticed that the creaking sound was getting louder. He reached the landing, and saw a long corridor with several doors on both sides. He tried to open one of them, but it was locked. He moved on to the next one, and found it unlocked. He opened it and entered the room.
It was a bedroom, with a large bed, a wardrobe, and a fireplace. He saw a portrait of a young woman hanging above the fireplace. She had long black hair, pale skin, and red lips. She was wearing a white dress and holding a red rose. She looked beautiful, but also sad and mysterious.
He felt drawn to her, and walked closer to the portrait. He noticed that her eyes were following him, as if she was alive. He felt a sudden surge of fear, and backed away from the portrait. He turned around and ran towards the door, but it slammed shut behind him. He heard a lock click, and realized that he was trapped.
He banged on the door, and shouted for help. But no one answered. He heard a soft laugh from behind him, and turned around. He saw the woman from the portrait standing in front of him. She had blood dripping from her mouth, and sharp fangs in her smile. She said in a sweet voice:
“Hello, my dear. I’ve been waiting for you for so long. You’re just what I need to break my curse.”
She lunged at him, and bit his neck. He screamed in pain, and felt his blood drain from his body. He fell to the floor, and lost consciousness.
The next day, the police found his body in the mansion. They also found several other corpses in the basement, all drained of blood. They concluded that he was a victim of a serial killer who had been preying on tourists in Pyin Oo Lwin for years.
They never suspected that he was actually killed by a vampire who had been living in the mansion for centuries.
She had been cursed by an evil witch who had envied her beauty and love.
She had to feed on human blood every night to survive, but she also had to find her true love who could break her curse with a kiss.
She had thought that Aung Ko was the one, but she was wrong.
She killed him out of frustration and despair.
She returned to her portrait, and waited for another night.
She waited for another victim.
She waited for another chance.
She waited for eternity.
The end.
