The most expensive watch in the world costs $27 million. This model for women is called Joaillene Manchette and represents the Joallerie 101 series of the Swiss brand Jaeger-LeCoultre. The chronometer was released in 2008.
The Joaillene Manchette is a miniature mechanical watch with a precious bracelet. Keeping with the tradition, Jaeger-LeCoultre used a hand-wound movement with the crown located on the back of the product, but did not skimp on the decor.
The jewelry is made of white gold and studded with sparkling diamonds. To decorate the bracelet 576 diamonds, 400 diamonds and 11 onyx crystals were used. The main mechanism on the general background looks modest: the size of the dial is only 10x10 mm, but it is made of sapphire crystal.
Joaillene Manchette has no additional options. This watch has no chronograph, power reserve, alarm, it can not show the date and measure the moon cycle.
The Joaillene Manchette has become a royal gift. The Swiss company made them for Queen Elizabeth II to celebrate her 60 years of reign.
