A favorite pastime of the kids here is throwing firecrackers into a crowd of people and watching the adults fall down in fear of getting shot.
Honduras, San Pedro Sula
The city is now considered the most developed in Honduras. But visit the slums or outlying neighborhoods and you'll realize you're lucky you don't stay there forever. The city is the abode of drug traffickers.
There are 90 murders for every 100,000 people here. That's more than enough of a statistic not to go there.
There is just a huge problem with drugs, drug addicts and drug dealers. So far, the country is in no particular hurry to deal with this nightmare.
