Water has always been a major villain among smartphone users.  No matter how careful you are, there will be less phones that do not come in contact with water at least once.  Tea or water splashed when placed on the table, drenched in rain, and sometimes falling out of pocket while bending over so that each can happen with our carelessness.  Many people are worried about not knowing what to do in these situations.  The phone that fell into the water can be reused without any damage if handled very carefully.  For that, it is essential to understand the do's and don'ts.  Here are some tips that may help you.

Never try to turn it on after falling into the water.  Turn off and place in the vertical direction.  The first step is to change the phone case and replace the battery, SIM card and SD card.  Wipe all parts of the phone with a damp cloth.  Most of the newer generation phones will change color when wet.  As soon as the phone falls into the water, their warranty is lost.  If the warranty card is left unattended, you will notice what it says.  It remains to be seen whether a refund will be forthcoming.  It is said that if you fall into the water, you will lose even the warranty.

Then be careful not to blow on the phone's charger point or anything.  This can cause water to seep into most parts of the phone.

Do not attempt to dry the phone with a hair dryer.  Excessive hot air will only cause further damage to the phone.  Some electronic devices in the phone that may not be overheated may also malfunction.

Then all you have to do is put the phone down in the filter.  Rice is a good drying agent so if stored inside the rice, it will absorb water from the phone.  Leave it on the phone for a day and then turn it on with the SIM card and battery.  You can try charging if you want.  If it still does not turn on, it should be repaired before further testing.

Next, the phone can be placed in the sun.  But it has to be done logically.  Excessive exposure to the sun can cause the display to malfunction.  So the cloth can be spread out and the display can be hidden.

Alcohol or body spray can be used to easily evaporate the water entering the phone.  These help the water to evaporate quickly.

It is a good idea to make sure your phone does not fall into salt water.  The phone will be completely useless if it falls on the beach or other salt water bodies.  Part of the salt can cause the electronic items in the phone to corrode.  It is also impossible to wash with good water.

Even if the phone is on and working, make sure all the options are working properly for a few more days.  Be sure to back up your data even when the phone is on.
