Better protection, bigger screen, faster charging
"The best smart watch in the world has a new display that's 20% larger and 70% brighter than the Watch Series 6. The screen has a thinner bezel and now holds 50% more text than before, making it easier to reply to messages. Along with the new display, the Watch Series 7 introduces an array of new design themes and a design with rounded corners.
Apple calls the Watch Series 7 its most rugged watch yet: it's IP6X dustproof and water-resistant (the WR 50 designation means the watch can withstand occasional immersion in water).
The Apple Watch Series 7 is compatible with Apple Watch Series 6 straps, but the company has tried to introduce plenty of new straps as well. And the watch also supports fast charging - it charges 33% faster than the Watch Series 6 (0 to 80% in 45 minutes). It uses a USB-C cable for charging. The Apple Watch Series 7 supports heart rate and blood oxygenation levels, and can take ECGs. Several new sports modes are available.
