Uganda's High Profile Death Over Time a Threat to Security

The people of Uganda are have taken to social media and demanded an explanation for the increased death of high profile government persons over time. There is growing speculation in the East African country that these are just murdered to clear a path for a political succession. 

President Museveni asked security to prove every citizen connected to the statement that the Speaker of Parliament Jacob Lakori Oulanya was poisoned. Speaking to citizens in special session of parliament held to replace the speaker. Museveni asked the public to pay no attention to reports and claims of opinion leaders aimed at public discomfort and bringing more grief to the family of the deceased. 

Surprisingly one of the voices claiming that Oulanya was murdered is that of his aging father Nathan Lakori.

Oulanya's body is expected to jet in Uganda early next month from Seattle, USAwhere he was admitted till his death. His death was earlier on speculated by netizens which came out true after a day that security almost cracked down. All of them for spreading false information. To their surprise, Mr. Museveni took his social media and announced his death. 

Ugandahas lost countless of public figures in the past. Dr. Andrew Lutakome Kayira a former minister of energy was murdered in cold blood. According to a report by Scotland yard reports that upon release by court after being accused of plotting against government, he was shortly murdered drawing speculation that his death was politically motivated.

Kayiira fought alongside Museveni in the war of liberation Kayiira was a soldier alongside Museveni in 1986.

Major Kigundu was butchered in his way home in broad day light in Masanafu a Kampala suburb. 

Col Ibrahim Abiriga was short dead in Kampala by assailants as he drove around at 6 O'Clock in 2018. 

Assistant Inspector general of police Afande Felix Kaweesi was shot dead alongside his security detail as he travelled to his office in Kampala in broad day light. 

Assistant Superintendent of police Kirumira Mohammed was shot dead by assailants at 6 O'oclock as he drove home one evening.
