Verifone will enable cryptopay payments at major retail stores through BitPay
Bitpay announced Tuesday that it is partnering with retail payment solutions provider Verifone to facilitate a blockchain payment technology infrastructure to enable cryptocurrency payments.
Verifone provides end-to-end payment and commerce solutions to some of the leading retail brands. According to the company, it provides services to more than 600,000 merchants and processes more than $440 billion in transactions per year.
Cryptopayment services will be available to merchants in the U.S. by the end of this year.
