What happens after high school

What happens after high school? Freedom.

All throughout elementary, middle, and high school, your life is written for you. Get up, go to school, do your homework, go to bed. Repeat five days a week.

But once you get out of high school, you're free. Free to make your own choices. Are you going to go to college? Travel? Go to a trade school? Work in fast food? Who knows?

It's all up to you, so only you can answer that question for yourself.

So I ask you, “What happens after high school?”

To put it simply you figure out you’re now taking direction of your life. Depending on the person, like myself for instance, that reality can either make or break you. I won’t go into any specifics, but my first semester of college was utterly dreadful. It took me until almost the end of the semester to realize that I now had the reins and that every choice I made had direct consequences. Even though I came to realize that I still made some decisions that I’m not proud of, but for the most part I became a wiser and more intelligent individual. I’m now out of college with a Certificate in Music Business and a job that makes me excited to wake up every morning and start working. I feel that I have better judgment than I did when I first got out of high school and I'm more disciplined.

You decide.
