Cucumbers are not only tasty but also healthy. They are considered the leaders among vegetables in terms of fiber content, which improves digestive processes. The main component of cucumbers is structured water, which is useful because it removes harmful toxins, excess salt and toxins from the body, and cleanses the kidneys well. In addition, the vegetables contain beta-carotene, vitamins A, B1, B2, B3, B9, ascorbic acid, potassium, copper, manganese, magnesium, iron, iodine, chromium, phosphorus and sodium.
Can cucumbers replace food and water for three days?
In January 2021 blogger Mikhail Polyakov decided to conduct an experiment: to replace all food and drink exclusively with cucumbers for three days. As the blogger notes, he wanted to test three hypotheses:
-Can vegetables replace food and water;
-Can cucumbers replace food and water; -Can cucumbers provide a normal life activity;
-Whether it is possible to lose weight with a cucumber diet.
How was the experiment held?
In the beginning Mikhail weighed himself to see if he could lose weight on the cucumber diet in three days. The blogger weighed 72.7 kilograms.
The hero of the experiment starts the first day by eating a cucumber instead of a glass of water in the morning. Since he spends all day at home and doesn't move around much, he eats only four cucumbers. The blogger notes that his well-being on the first day of the experiment is normal, there is no sense of hunger and not very thirsty.
On the second day Michael goes on business and takes two cucumbers with him. He moves around a lot, hence consumes more energy compared to the first day of the cucumber diet, and he has an increased feeling of hunger and thirst. This time he eats six cucumbers, noting that he gets more tired.
In the morning of the third day, the blogger feels good, but unusually a lot of sleep, as it is necessary to restore energy. On the last day of the cucumber diet, Mikhail eats six vegetables. Toward the end, he notes that he feels very tired.
At the end of the experiment the blogger's weight dropped to 70.5 kg. Thus, he managed to lose 2.2 kilograms on the cucumber diet.
Is it worth trying the cucumber diet?
On the diet "sit" exclusively on cucumbers, and combine them with other products, such as, for example, eggs, sour cream, onions, from which you can prepare various salads. They are eaten four times a day.
The blogger's experiment showed that to survive for three days without food and water solely on cucumbers is possible. But it is a very "hard" diet, and you should not use it on a regular basis.
