What happens when you drink 2 liters (or more) of water a day

Exaggerating the dose can be bad even when it comes to water, you know?

 

That consuming water is important for the perfect function of the body, you likely already realize.  After all, 70% of our body is made of liquid. On the other hand, that saying “the difference between medicine and poison is the dose” is genuine: exaggerating water consumption is also not encouraged.

 

“If the volume of liquid inside the body is too huge, there can be a dilution of available sodium. When this takes place, and the quantity of the mineral is under 135 mEq in keeping with liters of blood, the character ends up developing a situation called ``hyponatremia”, explains nutritionist Caroline Ligi, from São Paulo.

As a result, the danger of brain damage, coronary heart troubles and kidney failure increases.

 

How much water should we drink a day?

 

But the truth is that many people don't even come close to developing this problem: many don't drink the recommended amount of water per day. And what number could that be?  35ml for each kilo of body weight, says nutritionist Kerlin Schmitz, co-founding father of Divina Terra.

 

That is, in case you weigh 70 kilos, you need to drink 2.45L of water a day (after all, 35 x 70 = 2,450 ml).  The perfect isn't to drink it all at once, but to distribute it in numerous glasses at some point of the habitual.

 

However, it's far clear that this number can range according to sex, age, present sicknesses and bodily exercising (athletes, even, have to drink 45 ml for each kilo, while the aged, 20 to 30 ml). In the case of folks that sweat lots or have frequent loss of fluids (diarrhea), it is also good to increase the amount of water fed on in the day.

What takes place to the organism while you drink the proper quantity of water

 

1 – The metabolism “speed up”

 

Lipase, a very critical enzyme for burning body fat, takes water to activate the metabolism.

 

2 – Your workouts are very much effective

 

Dehydration negatively affects performance in physical activities, especially resistance activities (such as running).

 

Therefore, the right thing is to stay with a water bottle before, during and after the sessions.  This not only prevents cramps but improves the response of the muscles to the stimulus.

There's no point in spending loads and loads of money on the very most potent moisturizing creams and serums on the market if you don't hydrate your body from the inside out.

 

4 – No bloating

 

It may additionally appear contradictory, but drinking water prevents fluid retention.  That's because whilst in a kingdom of dehydration, the frame understands that it needs to shop any and all water gift within the tissues and organs.  Thus, there may be the appearance of swelling in areas including legs, ft and even eyes (hello, darkish circles!).

 

5 – You can eat less

 

A lot of human beings confuse thirst with hunger, you already know?  This is a defense mechanism of the mind, which offers signals of hunger to attempt to get water from food.

 

So, while the urge to eat some thing hits, drink a pitcher of water.  If the problem is dehydration, your urge for food will be satiated within minutes.
