If you look at the Internet a few years ago, you will see that advertising was done in a way that was almost identical to other types of media such as TV, or, in fact, very similar to what you see in the newspaper.
You can add a site, and somewhere you will be able to see an ad (usually these were too many and too large), which would introduce and advertise any paid company that adds to your space.
But there has been one problem with this type of advertising. It really did not take into account the fact that the additions were not in a particular newspaper, but rather were presented online.
You may have noticed many similarities in the pages you have browsed. You are looking for an online store, you are looking for a watch but you get an advertisement for a car.
While you may, in time, want to buy a car, you are currently looking for a watch and it would be great if the ad advertised the watch, because then you might have clicked it.
Well, that's what Google people think, so they came up with the idea of murder. This is known as Google AdSense, and is known as a targeted advertising program
What you do (as a web designer / website owner), instead of jumping into hoops to get an ad on your site that your visitors will not care about, simply assigns a specific screen region.
Then sign up for the Google AdSense program, insert a small snippet of code into your webpage and Google confirms that in the area you mentioned, an ad will appear, introducing add-ons that match your site content.
It's very easy for Google to do this because Google is a search engine company. Browsing keywords to your page, searches a database of websites to find those related to anything on your page and in the presto: targeted ad.
You (the webmaster) earn money per visitor who clicks on the adsense banner on your site. Now that would happen again and again with a traditional banner because people are actually interested in what’s in this ad (otherwise, they wouldn’t be on your page would they?).
However, this also works wonders for people who want to advertise. And for the same reason. The great thing about Google AdSense is that all the content in the banner is compatible.
This functionality is the key to the success of programs, and it is the reason why everyone is always happy. The advertiser has a well-placed ad, the publisher earns money for their content and Google is cut off.
Just as usual, Google has set some high standards for its AdSense program, in terms of its appearance and functionality. You may not have more than two such banners on your website and Google only incorporates text into these ads.
So the added advantage is that AdSense advertising greatly reduces the average advertising. But this also means that you have to place the banner carefully because it is possible that visitors may completely abandon you.
So in the end, Google AdSense is a different advertising program because the ads match the content on the site. Anyone who wants to advertise pays for Google. Anyone who wants to place ads on their site to do so through AdSense, paid for by Google through this process.
Everything is done with Google, and advertisers and publishers get access to statistics that help them understand and evaluate their campaign performance.
The whole process is beautiful, simple and effective for anyone, from site visitors to advertisers, and is one of the reasons why Google is known for their innovative ideas and innovations.
