What to Expect from Huawei Nova Series at the Global Launch on October 21

Huawei Nova series smartphones are set to officially launch globally on October 21, the Chinese company has announced via its official Romanian website. The company had announced a launch event in Vienna, Austria, and at the time, what was being launched was not known. Now, at least the Nova series has been confirmed for the date. The rumour mill suggests that the company may unveil Huawei Nova 9, Huawei Nova 9 Pro, and a few other smartphones that it launched over the past few months in various markets.

The launch event in Vienna


The launch event has been officially announced by Huawei through an announcement made on its Romanian website. There are a few other specific details, including that the event will be held in the Capital of Austria Vienna. A press event will take place at the 'Wiener Stadthalle'. The invitations have been sent out, and have a date which is October 21. Besides, according to the invite, the event will start at 5 pm CET (Central European Time).


The launch event will be live-streamed on the Viennese Viennese Deutsche Telekom's official site. There will be the event on the Viennese Viennese Deutsche Telekom's official site as well as on the official Huawei Romania's site.

These devices are set to come with Kirin 980 SoC and an in-display fingerprint scanner. The Huawei Nova 3 and Nova 3i are set to come with 18:9 display with slim side bezels and dual cameras, while the Nova 3i will be more premium with 6.3-inch screen and the triple camera set-up at the back.


The Huawei Nova 3 and Nova 3i have been leaked extensively in the past, and the handset was also spotted on AnTuTu and Geekbench benchmark websites, confirming most of the specifications.


What can we expect from the upcoming launch?


According to the company's official website, it will be live streamed and you can watch it at 10:30 PM CET (or 10:30 pm IST). Additionally, the company has also shared a poster and a video to give us some idea of what to expect from the launch. The poster has two posters with a silhouette of a phone (Nova 5 or Nova 3) with a slight camera bump, and text that reads "5x optical zoom technology is behind your selfie, the new phone from #Huawei". Similarly, the video suggests a video of the Nova series and says that the smartphone is going to be the best at doing selfies. Furthermore, the video is set to the background of Florence playing the cello.


The Nova 5 was launched in China as the Huawei Nova 5i and in India as Nova 5 in August. It was launched alongside Nova 3i in the country.
