When food is so satisfying that you can't tear yourself away from it.

Very tasty! You can make it for dessert, as an appetizer, or instead of bread for soups. Moreover, the dough is very simple. And for the filling, all you need to do is grate the pumpkin.

HOW TO PREPARE:

 

First, the dough. I sift the flour into a bowl. In a glass of warm milk I dissolve salt. Instead of milk, you can take regular water or whey. But it tastes best all the same with milk.

 

I pour the milk into the flour and knead the dough. You can use a planetary mixer or knead the dough with your hands. This is how the dough should turn out (the hands are not sticky):

 

I remove the dough into a bag for at least half an hour. And I prepare the filling. For stuffing I grate pumpkin on a coarse grater. It is not necessary to boil or bake the pumpkin.

 

The "rested" dough is even more "docile". Now it can easily be rolled out into a very thin layer. Roll it out as thin as possible (so that you can even see the pattern on the table).

 

My tortilla today was about 1 m x 50 cm. I put the stuffing (grated raw pumpkin) and distribute it evenly all over the flatbread.

 

And now the choice. You can add salt and spices, herbs and a little garlic (for the salty version). Or, as I did today, sprinkle the pumpkin with sugar. Sugar to taste. I'll indicate in the ingredients the amount I usually add. It's moderately sweet. But if you like it sweeter, add more sugar. You can add some cinnamon for flavor, if you like.

 

Next I add pieces of butter. For a salty version, you can use olive oil or coconut oil. But with butter, of course, will taste better. I wrap it all in a roll.

 

Now I stretch a roll with my hands.

 

And I lay it out in a greased mold. I have a form of 26 cm.

 

I press the loaf with my hands. And I put it in a heated to 180 degrees oven for 40-45 minutes. Look at your oven. The tortilla should be well browned.

 

When the tortilla is ready, I smear it with a little more butter on top. And that's it! You can serve.

 

Aromaaaat! And very tasty! I like this scone when it's hot - it tastes better that way. If it stays - I then reheat the pieces of this "pie" in the microwave. Here's what it looks like in a slice:

For the dough:

- Flour - 375 g

- Milk - 250 ml

- Salt - a pinch

For the filling:

- Pumpkin - 600-650 gr

- Butter - 50-60 g

- Sugar - 80-100 gr
