Why No One Talks About History Anymore?

History. Some find it interesting some don't. I personally think it's interesting, fun but also terrifying. The fun parts are the discoveries such as the cradle of the human kind, Adam & Eve, when Nelson Mandela became apartheid and apartheid was over and when slavery was abolished. Although everything does have a backstory or should say that everything has a history. Slavery, the cotton picking days. Selling people what we call objectifying now, forcing people to do they don't want to do, killing people and just general misery all because someones skin has more pigmentation than the other. Humans......I thought we would've learnt our lesson from then but people are still racist today.

Everyone still remember apartheid right? Dutch came to South Africa, fought the peoplr for their land, won then seperated them. Admit it, it was horrible. Shooting school kids, putting people in jail for breathing air, it was stupid, it is stupid. I never understood why people hated each ither so much and why people felt that Africa was open for them to take yet they had their own land. It's selfish, rude, unapoligetic.

There's a different type of history too though. I could have a horrible history with someone, maybe they abused me or the other way around; maybe they caused trauma in your life; maybe you just dislike each other and don't want to talk about it. I could have a good history with someone but with a bad ending.
Maybe a certain area has a history behind it, a history of war perhaps.

We are supposed to talk about history to not repeat the same mistakes again but we don't.  because it's a sensitive topic. In the past someones decisions negatively affected someone either way. Bringing up apartheid might create a debate splitting up people again. Bringing up the discovery of something might have someone saying that the other is wrong causing disageements and splits people up. Even bringing up World War 1, someone might support the Nazi's and the other doesn't causing a split.

History splits people or brings people together but we're scared that it'll do more splitting than combining.
