When an inventor designs a cutting edge mechanism, or an artist paints a breathtaking masterpiece, we marvel and praise the 'genius' behind it. Some may say that there's no Jesus, considering all the evil and pain around us, but that is just it. God gave us freewill to choose HIM or stay away from HIM, our own Father in Heaven who designed us and knows what we need and how we work. When we choose sin, we choose to play games with the devil, we have left the divine protection God offers. Basically our unruliness, like a kid sticking their finger in an electric outlet after you warned them and maybe even plugged in safety coverings, us purposely going out of the way to sin, has damaging consequences.
So there is evidence of God in creation, and in answered prayer, in others' testimonies, in archaeological evidence, in our calendars ( 2022 AD, or Anno Domini, the year of our Lord,) and specifically in our hearts. Without our maker we will always reach for vanities of this world to fill God's spot, when the Truth is: God is the answer to inner peace, strength and, joy.
Obeying God with our hearts, minds, and souls, means divine protection, and His sovereignty in our lives despite whatever evil may come our way. Rain makes flowers, and pressure makes diamonds, and what God starts, HE finishes, Phillipians 1:6, even when we've made mistakes in life, choosing God means redemption and inner freedom, as God works all things together for good for those that love HIM, Romans 8:28.
