MIUI 13 will be released with a delay relative to all other Android 12 firmware due to bugs in MIUI 12.5
Even though the Xiaomi Mi 11, Mi 11T and other Xiaomi 11-series devices are from the 2021 model year, they are still running on MIUI 12.5, which is based on Android 11. The reason for what happened is trivially simple and is that Xiaomi banal did not have time to prepare MIUI 13 for release at the same time as its new smartphone.
If you recall, Xiaomi announced a re-release of MIUI 12.5 with the Enhanced index in the summer. The launch of the remaster was dictated by problems in the original version of the firmware, which was literally full of all sorts of bugs and imperfections. Therefore, instead of introducing MIUI 13 to the public, the Chinese released MIUI 12.5 for the second time.
The updated MIUI version offered fixes for most of the problems known to users, as well as significantly improved the stability of compatible devices and their performance. And, not to spoil anything with the next update, the developers had to partially rework MIUI 13, taking into account all the changes MIUI 12.5 Enhanced, so the full update release was slightly delayed.
But now we can see that MIUI 13 is almost done, so all the developers can do is add a few small changes. However, it makes no sense to wait for the release this year. The update will be released only in January, and that in the form of a beta version. So, in fact, the launch of the final version may take place even later. And Samsung plans to start updating even budget smartphones by that time.
