What are some of the dangers in Hawaii?

1.Sharks, Most dangerous is the tiger sharks, great white sharks, makos, and Galapagos sharks are the most common in Hawaii.

2. Jellyfish- Several types of jellyfish can be found in Hawaii’s waters and the most common is the box jellyfish.

3. Centipedes- There are over 8000 species of centipedes worldwide but Hawaii has three types:

Scolopendra, Lethobius, and Mecistocephalus and all can be found in homes and love damp places like kitchens and bathroom and some of them bite, and the bite can be agonizing.

4.Crown Of Thorns Starfish- It has spiny arms spanning around 10-14 inches and is known to have upwards to twenty arms. If you step on it will penetrate your feet or accidently touch your in for a dose of painful neurotoxins that last for hours, and can cause persistent bleeding, nausea, vomiting, and swelling of the tissue, if a piece of tine gets embedded in your skin go to the hospital immediately to have it removed.

5.Eels- The most dangerous eels in Hawaii are Moray eels, Dragon Moray Eels, and Snowflake Moray Eels, if you come across one and they bite you with their razor-sharp teeth they can cause some serious damage.

6.Scorpions- It isn’t likely you’ll see a scorpion in Hawaii because they are great and hiding, but if you do, you’re most likely to see Lesser Brown Scorpion they love attics and basements, kitchens, and bathrooms, though not venoumous their sting can be painful causing nausea and swelling for days.
