10 beard care tips

10 beard care tips

Actually, it is up to you to decide how your beard should look like. And if you have no opinion then who should you go to? A barbershop? Or try to get your beard tidied up yourself.

1. Be fit

The key to a great beard is growing it. It is your genes and hormones that are responsible for speed hair growth. By the way, speaking of hormones. Testosterone affects hair growth and its secretion increases during working out. Be fit and testosterone will help increase the growth of your beard!

2. Stimulate hair growth

If there is not enough hair on your body use Minoxidil. The drug is prescribed for the treatment of alopecia: it stimulates the growth of hair follicles. Minoxidil should be rubbed in twice a day for several months. There can be some "side effects" in the form of itching but is this an obstacle for the real man?

3. Buy a trimmer

Having a good trimmer is s hood thing - you can do wonders with it: make edging, adjust the length, correct the shape. It is a significant saving in time and money. However, you should still pay a visit to your barber from time to time.

4. Moisturize with coconut oil

Buy coconut oil at the drugstore and moisturize your beard. But before to do so don't forget to wash it well and dry it. Doing it this way will help have a silky beard for at least 24 hours.

5. Nourish your beard with burdock oil

And a mixture of castor oil and burdock oil will turn your beard into a thick and lush one. Mix the oils one to one, rub into your cheeks and beard, go over the length and leave for an hour. Wash it off with shampoo or soap. Apply regularly.

6. Wax your beard

Natural beeswax is the best way to tame a rebellious beard. And if your dream is not only a beard but a curly mustache as well you cannot but have it.

7. Wash it

Shampoo and conditioner are cosmetic hair products. At least once a week you should wash your beard with shampoo and conditioner. By the way, don't be duped by your local store sellers who try their best to palm off to you some overpriced special beard conditioner.

8. Add volume

If your beard isn't big on volume beard conditioners and waxes are the last thing you have to fall back on. A bar of soap can help.

9. "Teach your beard"

Teach your beard to grow properly. Its individual parts may choose chaotic directions to grow and you should tame them. How? By brushing it in the right direction every day for 10 minutes.

10. Forget about thickeners

You can skip the whole grooming tip and go to Aliexpress and buy a beard thickener or a beard camouflage powder. But you want to be cool, don't you? Take care of it.
