4 culinary mistakes that make you feel ashamed to serve them

Surely many people were surprised by this point, since our parents taught us as children that hot soup or meat should never be put in the refrigerator. We had to wait a few hours for the dish to cool down, and only then remove it from the table top. In fact, the situation is somewhat different. It turns out that in the cooked dish in an hour or two after you took it off the stove, bacteria begin to multiply. And the warmer it is in the apartment, the more rapid the process. At the same time, if you put a pot of hot borscht in the refrigerator, the temperature inside the refrigerator will increase, as well as because of the sharp heat can crack the plastic shelf.

To solve all the problems at once, University of Michigan officials, who have conducted a number of studies on the subject, advise cooling your own food before putting it in the refrigerator. Start by pouring or transferring the cooked food into several containers, then close them tightly and hold them for a while under a stream of cold water - that way the food will get to the right temperature much faster. Once the bottom of the plastic dish is warm, you can send it to the refrigerator without fear.

People who are on a diet or stick to a proper diet, try to avoid fatty salad dressings, as they significantly increase the caloric value of the dish. However, if you use olive oil or lemon juice, you will not be able to saturate the cooked salad. In addition, the benefits of vegetables without the "accompaniment" fats is significantly reduced. For example, lutein, which is found in greens, spinach and celery, is absorbed by the body only if there is fat in the same dish with them. The same goes for lycopene in tomatoes, β-carotene in carrots and antioxidants in some fruits.

So don't avoid fatty dressings. Of course, mayonnaise from the store is not the best option, but sour cream and natural yogurt are excellent for your purposes. Not only will the salad be healthier, it will also relieve you from feeling hungry for a few hours.

Doctors advise making sure to add flax seeds to your snack, as they are high in fatty acids, antioxidants and fiber. However, eating them whole as part of, for example, a salad or smoothie, is undesirable. The body finds it very difficult to digest the shell of the seeds, so before consuming flax, it is better to get rid of it. The easiest option is to grind the seeds in a coffee grinder, and then, in the ground state, add them to the dish.

If you just took the food out of the fridge or washed them under the faucet, take care that they do not have a single drop of moisture. Use a paper towel or cloth towel for your purposes. You may ask, why this extra work? To make sure that the food you send to fry in the pan does not turn into mush.

Also, heat treating is not appropriate for cold ingredients. Meat, fish, and other foods that you take out of the refrigerator should lie on the table for a while until their temperature is close to room temperature. This way, they will not burn, plus you will avoid other difficulties in the cooking process.
