An electric scooter was released under the Mercedes-AMG E-Scooter brand
The next novelty from - AMG was an electric scooter.
Its characteristics are not outstanding: 20 km / h of maximum speed and 40 kilometers of power reserve.
The cost of the device has not been announced.
The gadget was released not by Mercedes or its court tuning studio, but by Micro Mobility Systems AG.
They took the serial model Micro Explorer S as a basis, renamed it Mercedes-AMG E-Scooter and added logos of German brands to the body.
The characteristics of the source code from turning it into an AMG scooter have not changed.
He drives up to 40 kilometers on a single charge of a 450-watt battery.
An electric motor with a capacity of 0.7 horsepower accelerates the device to 20 km /h.
A full charge takes up to 2, 1 to 3, 5 hours.
The trick of the scooter is to control the traction with a motorcycle rotating handle, and not with a trigger that is familiar for such a technique.
The design provides three brakes at once: electric on the front wheel, drum on the rear, plus the ability to brake by pressing the rear mudguard to the wheel with your foot.
There is a smartphone holder on the steering wheel.
With the help of a special application, it can be synchronized with an electric scooter.
No exclusive equipment or decor is allowed for the AMG version.
There is a headlight, a taillight, a bell.
Another tuning studio Brabus has previously presented its second motorcycle project.
It was made on the basis of the KTM 1290 Super Duke R Evo, the circulation will be 290 copies.
The equipment was not touched, but the exterior design was thoroughly redesigned.
This is not an independent development of a German company.
Moreover, there is already another model of an electric scooter in the AMG range, released jointly with the Chinese industrial giant Xiaomi.
This time, Micro Mobility Systems AG from Switzerland was chosen as a partner for the release of an exclusive means of individual mobility.
The Micro Explorer S model was taken as a basis, AMG symbols were added, a three-ray star on the steering rack and a new polymer and soft foot pad coating was applied.
Despite the fact that AMG is famous for fast cars, the new electric scooter can not be called high-speed: such a device can accelerate only up to 20 km / h and travel up to 40 km on a single charge. But you can't blame the new SIM (a means of individual mobility) from AMG for excessive simplicity either: the model uses a height-adjustable steering rack and suspensions of both wheels.
In addition, the Germans promise that when folded, their scooter will fit in the trunk of even a compact car, and thanks to its low weight (14.7 kg), transportation is available even to women.
The 450 Wh battery is charged in just 3, 5 hours.
There are two driving modes – economical and sporty.
In the latter, the mileage on a single charge is reduced to a maximum of 25 km, but the rider will receive the most powerful acceleration and traction on the driving front wheel.
The electronic brake in the electric motor and the rear drum brake, built into the wheel and protected from environmental influences, are responsible for deceleration.
Earlier, Mercedes has already tried its hand at branding third-party scooters: together with Chinese Xiaomi, the Germans released a version of the Mi Pro 2 Mercedes-AMG Petronas F1 Team scooter, which differs from the standard model by pasting in the corporate colors of the Mercedes-AMG Petronas formula team.
An unusual model has appeared in the Mercedes-AMG range.
This is an electric scooter Mercedes-AMG E-Scooter, developed with the participation of the Swiss company Micro Mobility Systems AG.
The basis of the new model was the previously released electric scooter Micro Explorer S.
The Mercedes-AMG model combines exceptional power, a large power reserve and high safety with high-quality components and sporty elegance.
The 500-watt electric motor built into the scooter allows it to accelerate quickly to 20 km/h, and a powerful 9.6 Ah battery provides a power reserve of up to 40 kilometers in economy mode.
And in sports mode, the scooter can travel 25 kilometers on a single charge.
The battery is fully charged in 3, 5 hours.
The scooter supports three types of braking — engine braking with a rotary handle, a drum brake at the rear or a foot brake on the wing.
The Mercedes-AMG E-Scooter has a stylish appearance and a folding design, easily fitting into the trunk of even the smallest car.
It weighs approximately 14.7 kg.
The scooter is decorated with AMG brand symbols and a Mercedes three-ray star on the steering rack, and the footrest has a new anti-slip coating made of soft polymer material.
Durable rubber wheels with a diameter of 20 cm, as well as individually adjustable front and rear suspension allow the driver to easily move not only on smooth roads, but also on uneven surfaces.
Thanks to the steering telescopic rack, the electric scooter can be individually adjusted to the user of any height.
The scooter has front and rear lights, reflectors on the sides and a built-in bell.
The possibility of connecting the Mercedes-AMG E-Scooter to the Micro application via Bluetooth deserves special attention.
The smartphone can be fixed in a special holder on the steering wheel and on the screen the user can get various information — from speed and distance traveled to the state of battery charge.
Also, the built-in navigation system will show the shortest way to the destination, and some functions of the scooter, for example, lighting and driving mode, can be controlled directly through the application.
The manufacturer has not yet announced the start date of sales of the Mercedes-AMG E-Scooter, however, as well as the cost of the scooter.
