Those who have lived in a hostel, at the very least, have probably heard various horror stories passed down from generation to generation in their individual lodgings. Some are factual, while others are made up to scare incoming pupils.
So it was with Aman; ever since he transferred to a boarding school in the north of the country, he had heard a variety of stories, but he never took them seriously.
I was taken aback when I heard someone singing from the vacant bed and plainly saw the figure of a woman who appeared to be dancing while waving her hands, pale-faced and with terrifying eyes.
"My body trembled as I drew the blanket." "I wetted on the mattress without realizing it because I was too scared to read all the verses I knew," he explained.
Because he was terrified, Aman was wrapped in a blanket.
Fever for a week, stay in a friend's room
Aman stated that the situation had suddenly quieted down, but he was surprised again when his friend awoke and called his name.
Seeing his friend's terrified state, he got up and turned on the light, only to be astonished to discover his face, damp bed.
"Apparently, my friend heard the woman's voice but remained silent before daring to get up when he heard my trembling voice reading the Quran."
"We decided to stay in another friend's room because we were scared until we didn't realize I had wetted on the mattress," the man stated.
Aman stated he couldn't close his eyes all night, and they had a fever for about a week until the warden had to call a ustaz to lift their spirits.
"Although I don't believe it, it happened to me but I think the 'disturbance' might be because we entered their residence considering that the hostel had been uninhabited for a long time," he went on to say.

Among the popular stories told by senior students is about the school's ancient hostel building, which carries a thousand and one bizarre and terrible stories and is thus left abandoned and unoccupied.
Because it has been abandoned for a long time, some people believe that something is'staying' in the structure, and there have been reports of apparitions strolling around the hostel area.
"To be honest, I don't believe in mystical and unusual phenomena... When seniors tell stories, I believe they are attempting to scare us.
After a scary incident, Aman was hesitant to sleep on the double decker bed.
"I just heard but it was like entering the right ear and leaving the left ear," the man stated.
Relocating to the old hostel
A few weeks after arriving at the hostel, Aman informed the administration that all students in his block will be temporarily relocated to the old building to allow maintenance work to be completed in the block they were residing in.
When Aman moved temporarily to the unoccupied block, he remembered the narrative given by seniors about the building. He acknowledged to feeling nervous, but he did not want to follow his instincts too closely.
"On the day we moved, all students were assigned to clean up the hostel area, and we were also required to bring necessities because the building had been vacant for a long time."
"Although there are many unpleasant stories about the hostel, but Alhamdulillah the building is actually in good condition even though it is quite far from other hostels, just need to clean dust and cobwebs," he went on to say.
I drew the blanket, shaking, and wetted on the mattress without recognizing it because I was too terrified. AMAN Aman informed him that he and two pals had been assigned to a room with two double-decker beds and that they were relieved to be in the same room.
"I chose the top left bed, and my friend took the bottom part." My friend elected to sleep on top of the other bed.
"The first night there we felt a bit uncomfortable because the fan was not working and maybe because it was a new place, so we couldn't get used to it," he explained.
The sound of a woman singing next to her ear made her wet herself with panic.
Despite the fact that the weather was rather hot that night, they eventually fell asleep, according to Aman. Due to the hot heat and fan troubles, Aman awoke about 1 a.m. in a sweaty state and was unable to close his eyes.
The apparition of a woman in front of him caused Aman to wet his bed with panic.
"When I was alone, I had the impression that something was watching me from the empty bed below, as if there was an apparition."
"All of a sudden, I was terrified, which I had never felt before... "I drew the blanket in a blur because I didn't want to see anything that might make me feel scared," he explained.
Aman was trying to calm himself down when he heard someone singing next to his ear, but he tried to control his emotions and relax down.
Aman stated that his body was sweating at the time due to dread, yet he dared himself to investigate the source of the sound.
