Be the boss of your own schedule

This generation has been under monarchy of gadgets. We don't realise the passage of time as we swipe through screens and type through keyboards. Hence it becomes hard to be incline our intelligence towards time management.

I am a teenager and I had been struggling to form a timetable for my studies. I searched so many websites, and webpages and articles and I promised myself to stick to all the tips and tricks, but unfortunately it did not go as planned. So I decided to be the boss of my own schedule and here are a few tips which might help you to do the same!

1) SORT YOUR PRIORITIES!

for a teenager, usually priority equals school work and study materials, and for some sporty ones, it might be coaching centers. Hence you need to see what comes first. On the other hand, hanging out with friends shouldn't be in your priority list AT ALL ! People eat your time without you even realising it. So choose your things wisely.

2) NO ONE IS PERFECTLY CONSISTENT

as a teenager I can say consistency is hard. It is not easy to stick to a schedule especially when it's the same schedule over and over again. So what to do? Firstly, ADD VARIETY to your schedule and secondly, learn to COMPENSATE. For example, if you party tonight then compensate the time wasted by studying more the other day. And don't have the same time every week day to do the same things.

3) BE CLEAR IN YOUR MIND

If you are not clear of what you want to produce at the end of the week then you won't be able to make a perfect schedule. Be clear with your goals

sit alone in a room and think clearly of what you need to do

4) BE YOUR OWN BOSS

Any person can get influenced if he/she is not secure about themselves. So set your schedule according to what matters to you and do not get under the influence of other things or people.

5) SORT OUT HOURS

Be clear about how many hours to spare for everything. If you want to prioritise your studies then study 8hours a day. And take good rests. For 2hours study session you can take a 1/2 hour  break but stick to it.

6) BE REALISTIC

Set realistic timings, which are comfortable with your needs and wants. And make sure that your needs are fulfilled first. Make a schedule in a manner that makes you happy and accomplished more than making you feel bound to something. Do not care about any other opinion. If you can study less on weekdays then make it that way.

LASTLY, I would say that it's easy to be your own boss you just have to care less for others and more for yourself. So make your schedule and stick to whatever you like. At the end, it's sometimes not possible to have a time table to which you have to stick, just learn to use your time wisely.
