This article is all about the mystery of Malaysian Airlines Flight MH 370 and it's disappearance in 2014.

The mysterious story of MH 370 started Klia or Kuala Lumpur international airport. On March 8th 2014, the 53 years old Malaysian Airlines pilot, Captain Zari Ahmed Shah with 30 years of experience signed in for the duty at 10:50 pm Malaysian time followed by the co pilot first officer Faruk Abdul Hamid, 27 years in age who signed at 11:15pm. The pilot had an experience of flying 30,000 planes. After getting the clearance, MH 370 finally took off at 12:42 am from the runway with 227 passengers and 12 crew members along. It was scheduled to land at 6:30am. Air Traffic Control gave MH 370 the clearance to climb to flight level 350 approximately 35,000 ft. from the ground and after sometime the pilot confirmed that mh370 is at level 350. At 1:19am while MH 370 was over the South China sea between Malaysia and Vietnam,  Malaysian air traffic control instructed the flight to contact the next Air traffic control i.e. Ho Chi Minh in Vietnam. Captain Zari replied,"Good night Malaysian 370". This was the final voice contact with MH 370. After 2 minutes the position symbol of MH 370 disappeared from KLACC radar indicating the aircraft's transponder was turned off. Malaysian airlines continued to track the aircraft as it turned left crossed the Malay Peninsula near the Malaysia Thailand border and travelled over the Andaman sea.

 Mystery of MH 370

At 1:30am at the request of Ho Chi Minh cc another aircraft attempted a voice contact with MH 370 and recieved mumbling and radio static in reply. 9 minutes later Ho Chi Minh acc informed KL acc that no contact was established and MH 370 disappeared from its radar screen. At 1:52am MH370 reached the southern end of Penang Island. Co pilot Freak's cell phone registered with a cell tower below though, no other data was transmitted. Then the airplane turned towards North East along the strait of Malacca. It was 2:03 am when Malaysian Airlines dispatch centre sent a message to the cockpit instructing pilots to contact Vietnam ATC. There was no response.

Nevertheless, at 2:15 am Malaysian Airlines operation centre informed KLACC that it could exchange signals with MH 370, which was in Cambodian airspace. On the other hand after contacting to Chi Minh ACC , KL ACC was informed that MH 370 was not supposed to take that route. However at 2:25am the aircraft's satellite data link which was lost got re-established. Thereafter the aircraft's satellite data unit replied to 5 hourly automated status requests. A search and rescue mission was launched at 5:30am while authorities had no idea where the missing plane was.

  Investigation about MH 370

Actually it is believed that at the time s satellite recieved MH370 last confirmed signal at 8:11am i.e 7 hours after take off, the flight was close to running out of fuel. Search operation began within 24 hours. An oil slick was seen on the water near where the plane was last detected but later chemical tests proved that the oil slick was from a ship not a plane. Later, authorities opened an investigation on the possibility of the plane getting hijacked or sabotaged by one of the pilots or the crew members leading to the plane's disappearance. It was claimed that Captain Zari was a political activist who attended the trial of Malaysia's opposition leader just 7 hours before the plane took off. It was later confirmed that the plane's tracking system and transponders were switched off before the pilot sent his final radio communication to air traffic control.

After all the investigation, the Malaysian Airlines made a final statement saying that the plane ended in the southern Indian Ocean and all the passengers were assumed dead. No debris or remains of the plane were located even after an international search operation.
