BHARAT MANDAPAM : VENUE IS READY FOR G-20
The grouping which accounts for 85% of global GDP , source of 80% of global export and host 2/3rd of worlds population is ready to come together at bharat mandapam for discussion and deliberation to come over challenges of our contemporary world .
Mandapam(मंडपम) which holds a sacred place in indian culture and a symbol of indian vibrant democratic tradition, an epitome of deliberative democratic tradition started by saint-poet, social reformer Basavanna.
G-20 a grouping formed in 1999 to gain international cooperation on global economic and financial agenda. The contemporary world needs more cooperation collaboration and coordination to overcome the current challenges and dwar the roadmap for secure,safe and stable world. In this phase our world is polarised over different issues and a divided world is vulnerable for more problems and challenges . Issues like Russian special military operation (President Putin) or Russian invasion (President Biden) over ukraine , issues of global governance (USA vs China) , climate finance(global north vs global south) , trade wars etc.
The world together is facing several challenges like supply chain disruption, rising inflation , religious extremism, terrorism , cyberwars , instability in especially in 3rd world nations . The long term challenges which is climate change and its impact need the long term and consensus based collaboration because it is not the future, climate chage is here .
All these issues has put the upcoming G-20 summit on the global spotlight as hope for global cooperation . India with its strategic autonomy and approach of multilingual can show the leadership by bringing different sides together for global cause . India has also invited nine guest countries (eg. Egypt,Spain,Nigeria,UAE) from different region to put forward their concerns and ideas at this summit.
India which believe in the philosophy of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam ( वसुधैव कुटुंबकम) can show case the success story of india stack eg. Aadhar, JAM trinity, digilocker,COWIN app, aarogya setu and can share the learnings and experiences to the world . India which hold pride in its multireligious, multicultural, multilingual society and quasi-federal polity can show the world how to live with harmony and peace . India has used several meetings of G-20 way to showcase its tourism potential and a alternative to west dominated hybrid soft power .
The G-20 is an opportunity for india to push fow new windows for financing climate infrastructure which can help to full fill its Panchamrit goal and catalysed towards Just Transition . India can propose and discuss the ideas for global collaboration to counter extremism and terrorism heal supply chain disruption and most important the global unity .
