House of the Dragon: A Game of Thrones prequel teaser has been released

HBO has posted on YouTube the first teaser of the series House of the Dragon, which is a prequel to the acclaimed Game of Thrones.

 

The plot is based on the book by George R. R. R. R. Martin's Flame and Blood, published in 2018. The series is set around the Targaryen dynasty 200 years before the events shown in Game of Thrones. 

 

"Gods, kings, fire and blood. It wasn't dreams that made us kings, but dragons," says a voiceover belonging to Matt Smith, who plays Prince Damon Targaryen.

 

Actress Emma D'Arcy will also appear in the film. She will embody on screen Rhaenyra Targaryen, daughter of King Viserys (Paddy Considine), who has mastered the art of riding dragons.

 

House of the Dragon is scheduled to premiere in 2022. The first season will include ten episodes.

Recall that the series Game of Thrones was based on the series of novels A Song of Ice and Fire by George R. R. Martin. R. R. Martin. It gained enormous popularity and became one of the most expensive projects on modern American television.

 

Eight seasons of the fantasy saga were released from 2011 to 2019. Fans were dissatisfied with the series finale and demanded that it be reshot.
