How to cook carrots in a delicious and healthy way

I used to always cook carrots for salads in a pot, the carrots would absorb a lot of moisture and end up too watery.

Then I began to steam cook carrots and I liked it better, and after a friend of a cook showed me how they cooked carrots for salads in their restaurant much better, I began to use only his way.

Probably the way I will tell you about many people already know and it will seem banal, but I will share, especially since there are young hostesses and novice cooks, for whom this advice will be useful.

The carrot itself is a very useful and tasty vegetable, I try to buy sweet carrots at the market in a proven place, because sometimes before you buy carrots in the store, and they are completely tasteless, well, just like grass, I think you know what I mean.

So before I cook carrots for salads I used to taste a piece, so that the carrots would be tasty and sweet.

I do the same with beets, before cooking them, especially for salads, I always try them, because if they are "bad" the salad will be ruined!

A chef friend told me that after buying food for a restaurant, they also try the vegetables - beets, carrots, cabbage - before they start cooking so that everything is fresh and tasty.

To make carrots in salads much tastier it does not need to be boiled, no complicated and unnecessary movements, everything is genius simple!

We wash the carrots under water, cut off a small piece and taste, if the carrots are tasty and sweet, then peel them, I do it with a regular vegetable peeler, very convenient and fast!

Next, you need to cut the carrots into two pieces lengthwise.

Then you will need a form for baking, absolutely any form. Each half of the carrot should be well greased with vegetable oil and put the carrots in the baking form.

You do not need to salt and add spices, this is all you will add to the salad you will cook.

We take the carrots to bake in a preheated oven for 30 minutes at 180 degrees on the top-bottom mode.

When 30 minutes have passed, you need to test the carrots to see if they are ready, for this we pierce them with a toothpick and if it goes in easily, then the carrots are ready.

Baked carrots for salads are much tastier than just boiled! Slice baked carrots into cubes, slices, and whatever you want and add them to your salad! Believe me, once you try it, you don't want it any other way!

And how do you prepare carrots for salads, boiled in water, steamed or also baked?
