john Wick 4: A Masterpiece in the New Hollywood Era

The creators created the ultimate "John Wick" for fans around the world.

The official Premiere of the film "John Wick 4" took place at the Russian box office thanks to the efforts of the distributor "Kino Atmosphere". This is the last movie in the main series for the next few years, which is almost three hours long. Did you manage to make a referral action for the fourth time?

Definitely, yes, it did. John Wick 4 raises the stakes once again, showing just how much Chad Stahelski is growing with each film as a director, and Keanu Reeves never fails to amaze with his active involvement in action scenes.

The John Wick franchise is generally very unusual - each film is unique and different for many reasons. If the first part was extremely mundane and in some places even art-house, then the third part is already a powerful action game in all fields, where the heroes fight off bullets with armored jackets.

John Wick 4 is once again trying to reinvent the franchise - we have before us the ultimate film of the series, which very subtly combines all the best moments of the trilogy. The fourth film introduces an understandable villain - more precisely, an adversary for the protagonist. Calling him a full-fledged villain does not work.

Along with this, outside characters are given much more attention - so much so that you become attached to everyone with great sympathy. You can shoot separate projects about many of them, as far as it turned out to be interesting to show them even in one film. Everything is in its place, no one seems superfluous.

However, it is unlikely that many people go to see "John Wick" because of the plot or the world. These are secondary elements for the most important - action scenes. And the fourth part certainly does something incredible.

The creators are not trying to jump over past films only by increasing the scale, here they just rather took a step back. The most relish is just how much all these scenes seem real. Characters get tired, sometimes miss and make mistakes. This is as beautiful as the fact that the barrels are still running out of ammo, and the clips of the characters are not endless.

Despite the unrealistic nature of what is happening, bulletproof suits have not gone away, just such little things land John Wick 4 - and in this way the creators maintain an incredible delicate balance, still forcing the audience to believe in what is happening on the screen. Outdoor shooting in real American and European cities also makes itself felt - against the backdrop of blockbusters that are tired of graphics, everything is fine here.

Problems arise in two episodes, when dozens of enemies die, but it seems that no one cares. Here Wick has already thrown, it seems, the third tomahawk at the next mercenary, but the crowd continues to dance further. It's almost out of the atmosphere.

However, by the end you forget about such trifles. All shortcomings are redeemed by an almost hour-long action scene in Paris. It's staged just great. The episode amazes just with the creativity of the creators, who make you squeeze into a chair and follow the magnificence of Keanu Reeves.

"John Wick 4" is an excellent action movie, the creators of which incredibly love their child. This is the creation of the "new Hollywood". Over the past year, we at the “Championship” have paid a lot of attention to the fact that the audience is tired of typical modern action films, where there are no stakes, and the actors are filmed in cramped green rooms, after which the entire environment is painted with computer graphics.

"John Wick 4" is not like that - together with "Top Gun: Maverick" it shows how shooting with real stuntmen in real locations causes real involvement among the audience in what is happening. John Wick 4 is a movie with a capital letter. One that we miss for years and review several times.

Now the film is already showing record-breaking opening fees around the world, so there will obviously only be more such films - and we are happy.
