Realme GT Neo Gaming Price and Specifications Leak, Tipped to Launch Soon

Realme GT Neo Gaming is tipped to be in development and is expected to launch soon. A tipster has leaked its pricing, key specifications, and design details. Realme GT Neo Gaming is likely to be an offshoot of the Realme GT Neo launched in March this year. This model was introduced with a MediaTek Dimensity 1200 SoC, whereas the Realme GT Neo Gaming variant is expected to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 SoC. Realme recently also introduced the GT Neo Flash Edition in May with some upgrades over the standard Realme GT Neo including a new colour option.

Realme 2 GT Neo Gaming has been listed on Chinese certification site TENAA (via MyDrivers) with a model number RMX1801. As per the listing, the smartphone has a 6.26-inch display with 19:9 aspect ratio, notch-style design, and an aspect ratio of 19:9. Notably, this listing is for an updated model of Realme GT Neo. Under the hood, the new Realme model has an octa-core processor. It has been listed as the Snapdragon 870 SoC, although the India-spec model is rumoured to feature a Snapdragon 845 SoC. Realme has not revealed any of the RAM, storage, and battery details for the new Realme model on TENAA. It is likely that the new Realme model will have at least 6GB of RAM and 64GB storage. There could be a microSD card slot as well, but Realme has not confirmed it.

According to a tipster on Twitter who goes by the handle @LapxD, the Realme GT Neo Gaming will be priced around ₹10,000, with the leak suggesting that the smartphone is yet to be launched in the country. It will compete against the Redmi Note 7 which was launched at around the same price point earlier this week in China. The tipster claims that the Realme GT Neo Gaming will be priced around ₹10,000, while the Realme 2 Pro costs around ₹14,000 in India, and the company's previous flagship model, the Realme U1 is also available for ₹14,990. A report by the source claims that the Realme GT Neo Gaming will sport 8GB of RAM with 128GB inbuilt storage. However, the report adds that the storage expansion is not yet confirmed. However, the Realme website also shows that the base 4GB RAM/ 32GB storage variant of the Realme GT Neo is sold out on its platform. With that said, the 512GB storage model of the Realme GT Neo will be available via the company's marketplace. Furthermore, the site also shows that the Realme 1 Flash Sale offers will include a free 16GB storage model of the Realme 1 along with the Moto Gamepad Mod and additional vouchers worth Rs. 1,000. The Realme GT Neo Gaming is tipped to come with Android 8.1 Oreo out-of-the-box and will be upgraded to Android P and Android Q out-of-the-box.

 

What we know about this model so far

As per a leak on Chinese social networking website Weibo, Realme's upcoming gaming phone will be called the Realme GT Neo Gaming. The Realme GT Neo gaming will likely make use of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 SoC and include 8GB of RAM. It will sport 6.2-inch display with a notch on top, 2.5D curved glass, with the 91 percent screen-to-body ratio, and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 SoC. Also, the Realme GT Neo gaming will likely come with 256GB of inbuilt storage and have Android 9.0 Pie out-of-the-box. Realme recently released a new Realme 1 variant in India, the Realme 2 Pro with Oppo F7-like dual front cameras. However, the new Realme 1 is based on MediaTek's Helio P70 SoC instead of the Helio P60 SoC, and doesn't sport a notch or the DCI-P3 colour gamut, with a smaller notch.

Going by the leak, the Realme GT Neo Gaming will have an unknown dual-SIM (Nano) support, and run ColorOS 5.1 on top of Android 8.1 Oreo. As per a previous report, the smartphone will sport a 6.
