Rumor: New 27-inch iMac with mini-LED display early next year

The excuse refers to Young's earlier suggestion that Apple was preparing a new external display, but he quickly updated his prediction to reflect the possible launch of the new iMac.

The news is certainly interesting, given Apple's upgrade of its iMac line earlier this year, which came with the addition of the M1 chip and a colorful new design. Apple increased the display size from 21 to 24 inches, and it has been suggested that Apple may make a similar leap with a larger model.

In his tweet, Young further notes that the iMac should have a variable refresh rate from 24 Hz to 120 Hz, suggesting that it will feature an OLED LTPO panel.

Yang claims that the new iMac will be introduced between January and March of next year. Working for Display Supply Chain Consultants, Young previously accurately predicted that the iPhone 12 would not feature ProMotion technology or a 120 Hz display, and correctly noted new details about the iPad mini 6. All of his previous predictions about future Apple products have turned out to be accurate.
