Samsung Galaxy S22+ Specifications Leak: What to Expect From Samsung's Biggest Phone

Samsung Galaxy S22 series is expected to launch sometime next year. A few specifications of two of the models expected in the series - Samsung Galaxy S22+ and Galaxy S22 Ultra - have surfaced online. The battery capacities of the two rumoured Samsung smartphones have been spotted on China's 3C certification site. It was earlier tipped that the Samsung Galaxy S22 series may come with 65W fast charging support. That leak had also suggested model numbers of the three smartphones said to be part of Samsung's flagship smartphone lineup.

Section 1:Samsung Galaxy S22+ Specifications

The 3C listing spotted by Samsung Galaxy Club claims that the Samsung Galaxy S22+, a variant of the Galaxy S22, will sport a 6.40-inch Super AMOLED display with an aspect ratio of 18:5:9. The handset will support Samsung's proprietary support on Bluetooth 5.0 and will offer a 4000mAh battery with fast charging support. The device is also tipped to come with dual rear cameras - a 13-megapixel primary sensor and a 5-megapixel secondary sensor. As for optics, the camera setup at front will include an 8-megapixel sensor. The Galaxy S22+ is also expected to come with 128GB of inbuilt storage and will support expandable storage support via a microSD card. Samsung is expected to launch the Galaxy S22+ with a 5G variant in some regions.

 

Section 2:Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra Specifications

A Geekbench listing has surfaced online which indicates that the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra may come with Exynos 7885 SoC, coupled with 4GB of RAM. The SoC is said to be clocked at a maximum frequency of 1.7GHz. Also, the phone's 3D Mark Sling Shot Extreme gaming test scores have been recorded at 2962. Also, the smartphone has been listed with an AT&T model number. The report, spotted by a Russian publication, has revealed key details about the Samsung Galaxy S22 and Samsung Galaxy S22 Plus. It is reported that the Samsung Galaxy S22 Plus will come with 6GB RAM and a 4000mAh battery. The report also claimed that the display will be the same 5.6-inch Super AMOLED panel as the one seen on the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+. Samsung Galaxy S22 specs The new Galaxy S series models are said to feature the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC and an option of 64GB or 128GB storage options. As for the camera, the report claims that the Samsung Galaxy S22+ will come with a dual camera setup at the back.

 

Section 4:Samsung Galaxy S22+ Release Date

The Samsung Galaxy S22+ with model number SM-G9298 has reportedly received 3C (Compulsory Certification of China) approval in China. According to previous leaks, the smartphone could arrive with an octa-core Exynos 7885 SoC, coupled with 6GB of RAM. There will be 64GB inbuilt storage on the smartphone, said the report. A 3000mAh battery will fuel the Galaxy S22+, and it could be fuelled by a 7.1V/4.2A USB Type-C port. According to the Chinese 3C certification report, the Galaxy S22+ will be powered by a 3,500mAh battery. The handset is likely to run Samsung Experience 9.0 on top of Android 8.1 Oreo. The SoC, RAM, and the smartphone's storage are listed as a part of the document, but we expect the other details to be same as the rumoured specs.

 

Section 5:Samsung Galaxy S22 Plus Release Date

The leaked document suggests that the Samsung Galaxy S22 Plus model numbers of the Samsung Galaxy S22 series will be SM-G9298 and SM-G9298F. While the former suggests that this will be the Plus variant of the Samsung Galaxy S22, the latter suggests it will be the Galaxy S22 Ultra. These model numbers do not reveal any other details regarding the smartphones. The S22 Plus is rumoured to come with an Exynos 9810 SoC and 6GB RAM. We believe that Samsung's next-generation flagship smartphone will be the Galaxy S21. The Galaxy S22 is likely to replace the Galaxy S21. Then there will be the Galaxy S22 Ultra, which is a different handset altogether. It is said to be equipped with an Ultra Power Saving Mode (UPSM) to offer better battery life. Moreover, it is likely to come with a bigger battery.
