Representatives of the Afghan government formed by the Taliban* met with a U.S. delegation in Qatar. They discussed opening a new page in relations. Amir Khan Mottaki, foreign minister of the provisional government of Afghanistan, said.
"The Afghan government delegation discussed with the U.S. delegation in Qatar opening a new page in relations, providing humanitarian aid to Afghanistan and observing the Doha peace agreement," Mottaki said.
The Afghan delegation urged the Americans not to violate the country's airspace and not to interfere in the internal affairs and unfreeze the country's foreign assets. In turn, the U.S. delegation promised to provide coronavirus vaccines to Afghanistan.
It is noted that the meeting was the first since the Taliban came to power in Afghanistan and overall, the visit to Qatar is the first foreign trip of the new Afghan government
