US intelligence suspects cause of Havana syndrome American officials

The United States Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) suspects the cause of Havana syndrome that afflicts a number of the country's top diplomats. According to the agency, intense energy from external sources can be the cause of cases of this syndrome. A panel of medical and technological experts convened by the US intelligence community found electromagnetic energy and ultrasound, given in tiny doses, can cause a strange mix of symptoms known as Havana syndrome. According to them, the technology is suspected of causing unnatural ear pain, nausea and other symptoms experienced by US officials. Havana syndrome is also called incident health anomaly (AHI). This is a mysterious disease that causes severe headaches, nausea, and possibly brain damage from electromagnetic waves. Symptoms of AHI are similar to those of a concussion or minor head injury. Experts state in reports released by the CIA that some AHI cases cannot be explained by specific environmental or medical conditions and can be caused by external stimuli from the hundreds of reported cases. Experts say the device may direct electromagnetic energy or ultrasound waves to harm the targeted person. However, experts do not reveal whether such a tool really exists. They also did not conclude whether the attack really happened, or suspect who was behind the attack. However, this report refutes claims that deny this AHI attack happened because of technology. They also rejected several other theories regarding the cause of AHI. Several theories have emerged that this is due to ultrasound waves being propagated over great distances and heating up large amounts of electromagnetic energy.

In the last five years, US officials and their families in various countries around the world have reported experiencing physical illnesses that fall into the AHI category. Previously, the CIA found that dozens of AHI cases had explanations from both a medical and environmental point of view. However, this number is still small when compared to 1,000 cases of AHI which are still unexplained. According to an intelligence official, the CIA concluded it was "impossible" for foreign actors to carry out consistent and worldwide attacks against US personnel. However, in twenty-four cases, the CIA did not rule out attacks by foreign actors. Meanwhile experts reject other theories as to the cause of AHI, including ionizing radiation, chemical and biological toxins, infrasound, audible sound, ultrasound propagated over long distances, and mass heating of electromagnetic energy. All of these are causes of nonsensical AHI symptoms, they say.
