Blind Side tells the story of Michael "Big Mike" Oher (Quinton Aaron), a 17-year-old teenager who has been in the state's child protection system since childhood. He moved around foster homes, and every time he always ran away back to his mother's house.
His mother himself is a drug addict, while the whereabouts of his father is unknown. Until one day he stayed at the house of his father's friend. He takes Michael to the Wingate Christian School and tries to get him accepted.
The reason, Michael is considered to have a good sports talent. His father's friend finally persuades Burt Cotton (Ray McKinnon), the sports coach there to give Michael a scholarship.
Although Michael did not have good academic grades, coach Burt accepted Michael because of his size and athletic ability.
At the school, he became friends with a younger student named Sean Tuohy Jr. or SJ (Jae Head). SJ has a mother named Leigh Anne Tuohy (Sandra Bullock), a father named Sean Tuohy (Tim McGraw), and an older sister named Collins Tuohy (Lily Collins).
