A common Research project is usually divided into chapters. At most five chapters. Chapter One is usually the General Introduction and the background of the study in addition to other subheadings. A Research Problem defines the purpose of a scientific study. It’s can either be an anomaly or a normally. The best way to state your research problem is to identify what your study is out to research on. What problem is your study out to solve by researching on that particular aspect? There can be many research problems on a given topic; that is why there exist research questions that define the problems in which a given study is out to address.
In Research writing, once a student is given a topic, to come out with the statement of the research problem and subsequently the research questions, research objectives and hypotheses, the student should identify at least 2 problems that are related to his/her research topic which are found in the study area by giving a great manifestation of these problems whether positive or negative. From here, the student can go-ahead to form the research objectives, questions and hypotheses.
