What makes good content online?

A good content for a service or product, is like adding the right seasonings and toppings to your food. It not only accentuates the flavor to what you’re trying to sell but also gives it a definite structure, language, and a form to your ideas. Some people say that a good piece of content is where you add in a lot of big words and numerous numbers of sentences. But in my opinion, a good content will be wrapped in the most simple, effective, compelling, and most importantly in a relevant way to hit the right set of audience.

And there are multiple ways/ metrices to measure the performance of your content which includes aspects such as page views, social shares, search engine ranking for relevant keywords, page views, average time spent etc.

In simple words, Search Engine Optimization helps build content via using relevant & rich keywords, sharing high quality content at regular intervals for your page and many more other factors which helps improve the rankings. Most importantly, SEO doesn’t involve inorganic/ paid ranking. Which means that, you don’t have to pay a single penny for your space, but you simply just use your piece of content and optimize it to the maximum through the above-mentioned techniques so that search engines such as Google, YouTube etc. starts showing your content on top of the page every time a person searches something relevant.

SEO-friendly content is important as it helps your content to appear on top of the page organically which a person searches for related topics on any of the search engines. While some might believe in stuffing a lot of keywords, I believe in the approach that relevant keywords must be used to rank your content higher. But it is simply not just about using the keywords randomly. It is also vital to add significant headers and sub-headers, using images, optimizing the length of articles and blogs and writing high quality content which deems it be a shareable content.
